I. Divine Healing [1 Book]

1. Suffering...Why Me?
The author of this book, Pastor Cho Yonggi, as a young man had to fight for his life since he was afflicted with a lung disease which at the time was considered a fatal illness. Having fought and survived the illness, the author has come to develop an extreme if not downright unbelievable belligerence toward all illness. Furthermore, Jesus Christ Whom the author has come to know during his ministry was the healing Christ. Having such experience and background in connection with Christ Who heals, the book was written.

The book further establishes the important role of divine healing even in present day Christianity through close observation on the importance of healing in the Old and New Testaments. The triune God made His divine healing power available to those in the Old Testament through the prophets, and Christ Himself came to this world to heal the sick during His public life before dying on the cross.

This book advocates that divine healing is not merely healing which is an end in itself, but that it has a greater purpose of serving as a means to spiritual salvation. It is important that all Christians recognize this purpose of divine healing and not miss its true significance.

Through this book, the reader will come to understand how God Himself detests our spiritual and physical illnesses and desires to heal us of both. The reader will further understand Christ's ministry of healing 2000 years ago and how Christ continues that ministry in the present day.
